Newport City Council’s Local Development Plan (LDP) Preferred Strategy Consultation is now open for comments and closes on 20th December 2023.

The LDP is where Newport City Council considers growth and change over a fifteen-year period and what should be built where and what areas should be protected. It forms the basis for whether planning permission should be granted for new developments.

Local Community engagement workshop events are as follows:

  • Monday 13th November 2023 6pm – 8pm – Redwick Village Hall, Church Row, Redwick, NP26 3DE
  • Wednesday 29th November 2023 – 6pm – 8pm – Langstone Primary School, Old Roman Road, NP18 2JU
